The Heimatverein Borgholzhausen was founded in 1893, has over 350 members today and is active in many areas in cooperation and for each other.

The association has taken on important tasks in Borgholzhausen over the decades. The tasks include monument protection, hiking trails, the preservation of cultural assets and of home and local history and nature and environmental protection.
The association of the city administration, politics and the people of Pium is available as a contact for these topics.

The Luisenturm, the Kultur- und Heimathaus and the Bleihhäuschen are maintained by the Heimatverein. The Luisenturm is a landmark of Borgholzhausen, which is particularly popular as a hiking destination.

As the name suggests, the cultural and local history of Borgholzhausen can be viewed in the culture and local history house. The house is maintained in cooperation with the cultural association and the museum services are taken over by the respective association members.

The exhibition in the bleach house serves to illustrate the old linen trade in Ravensberger Land. Linen tea towels are still hand-woven on the loom in the bleach house from 1864.
