Between November 2021 and mid-2024, the IWB Neuewelt power plant in Münchenstein will receive a new fish ladder. At the same time, the Basel-Stadt Civil Engineering Office is renovating the weir. The fish ladder supports the project to repopulate the salmon and improves the situation for all fish species in the Birs.
