After the brutal road climb of Old Pentewan Hill, take this bridleway detour down to Black Head on an old dark lane, then a road climb back up to Lobbs Shop. Head straight through the Enoch's incredible farm yard (public right of way, please shut the gates), taking the steep descent to the bottom of the valley and the magnificent King's Wood. Wide tyres a must, especially in winter!
