The first mention of the castle dates from 1358. Shortly afterwards, the castle was conquered by firearms Erhart of the Rocks. In the 1980s, excavation work was carried out here during archaeological research, thanks to which a large part of the walls was uncovered and a large number of objects, whether domestic, ceramic or war, were discovered. After the archeological works, the ruins of the castle were buried again in the ground.
