The idea for the 3D swimming arch came from the carpenter René Schauer, master carpenter Carsten Winkler and roofer Steffen Ackermann. But the three craftsmen from Bärnsdorf not only provided the idea, they also implemented it. The bärnsdorferleben e.V. took care of the financing, says association member Marcus Mambke. The three built one and a half cubic meters of glued spruce wood for the three-dimensional arch, the span of which is almost eight meters.
