Modern low-floor multiple units of the City-Bahn Chemnitz have been running on the Stollberg railway line since February 15, 2003. Line 523 runs the Glauchau - St Egidien - Lichtenstein (Sachs) - Oelsnitz (Erz.) - Stollberg (Sachs) route every hour during the week and every two hours at the weekend.
The RB 30 from Zwickau via Glauchau - Chemnitz - Freiberg - Dresden stops in St. Egidien every hour.
