Mountain biking

Wonderful medieval moated castle. The trench around it was filled in at some point. Once a year there is a mineral exchange, then the castle is open to the public. The apartments are currently rented and the moated castle is inhabited.
From time to time there are events in the courtyard, e.g. open air cinema.

Originally founded as a moated castle in the 12th century by Henry the Lion, it was rebuilt in the 16th century on the foundations of the destroyed castle in the Weser Renaissance style.
Since 1950 it has been privately owned and is not accessible.
