The Jewish cemetery was established in 1633 on the "Paradies" plot on the Steinberg and was expanded several times as surrounding communities also used it. Today there are more than 1200 gravestones, almost exclusively inscribed in Hebrew until the 20th century. Rich symbolic decoration. Cemetery wall demolished during the Nazi era, renovated in 1962. The Jewish cemetery is accessible as part of guided tours. For this, visitors should contact the Ebern Tourist Information Office.

      - Opposite the Dietz tank you go to the Jewish cemetery, which is not immediately recognizable for someone who is unfamiliar with the location. Now I don't even know if something is signposted ... in any case, it goes up there quite neatly ...
      - The cemetery was laid out in the 17th century, until 1912 other Jewish people were buried here
      - more information: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%BCdischer_Friedhof_(Ebern)
      - After the cemetery you can keep left, towards Eyrichshof and the ruins of Rotenhan
      - or right past the Kirchner hut up to the "Panoramaweg". Here, too, you have various options (towards Lichtenstein, for example, or in the other direction to Bretzenstein)
