A project of the Kassel Artists' Necropolis, by artists who committed themselves in their wills to be buried there during their lifetime. The Artists' Necropolis is located on the eastern slope of the Hoher Habichtswald in the wooded area of Harleshausen, the northwestern district of Kassel. It is located in the Habichtswald Nature Park on the Blauer See, a former basalt quarry.

"Faces of death, shapes of the soul. A protective installation made of solid steel plates. Accessible. The image motifs are laser cut into the steel and shine through the plates as "light images".
