Built at the beginning of the 14th century under Sanç de Mallorca, in the heart of the district of goldsmiths and silversmiths, the Palais des Corts housed the various courts of justice in Roussillon. This beautiful Gothic monument was then occupied by the commercial court from 1792 to 1925. Originally larger, very fragmented and transformed, restored in the 1970s, only its box remains, an elegant Gothic gallery, created by Rauli Valter , master builder of the entourage of Guillem Sagrera, architect of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste cathedral. The semicircular door, in Baixas marble, opens onto the patio.
