The Wallace fountains are a type of public fountain, of drinking water, present in various countries of the world. Designed by Charles-Auguste Lebourg, they are named after Richard Wallace, the British philanthropist who financed their construction. They are usually associated with the image of Paris, [1] since it was in this city where they were installed for the first time and where they are found in greater numbers. The first was inaugurated in August 1872 on the boulevard de la Villette [2] and is still being manufactured today.
