Compared to, for example, the Bückeberg Documentation and Learning Center, where a large, modern permanent exhibition educates about the "Reich Harvest Thanksgiving Festivals" and the perpetrators' propaganda, the information panel about the concentration camp subcamps in Porta Westfalica, where primarily female victims of the Nazis suffered and were murdered, is not only very inconspicuous but also in a deplorable state. Fortunately, the Porta Westfalica Concentration Camp Memorial and Documentation Center (KZ-Gedenk- und Dokumentationsstätte Porta Westfalica e.V.) wants to change that.
