Monteombraro is a place of culture and reflection; The seventeenth-century church dedicated to San Salvatore is splendid, located on the top of the mountain overlooking the town, where the castle once stood. Inside there are valuable paintings, icons and furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. The wonderful recently restored 19th century organ is also valuable. The original town, characterized by typical stone houses, gathers around the church. Don't miss the Erbolani tower house dating back to the 1400s, with frescoed interiors, and the San Carlo institute, an eighteenth-century building with an open courtyard and adjoining oratory, which was founded in 1714 for the education of young people. The Ronchi institute is located inside an eighteenth-century noble villa; It features valuable paintings and furniture.
