"At the Allerwehr Langlingen, the existing structure does not provide sufficient migration opportunities for fish and small creatures.
The NLWKN is therefore planning to dismantle the weir and establish ecological continuity. For this purpose, the existing weir structure is to be replaced by a rough ramp (with three bars to raise the low water level) and a new road bridge. In addition, the structural diversity in the course of the river is increased by the installation of flow guides (stone groynes, gravel rushes and deadwood)."
