It is located in a clearing among the beech woods at the foot of Monte Roncalla and on the side of Groppo Rosso.
It is a stone masonry building, consisting of a corner reserved for the kitchen and a dining room; there is a mezzanine floor where it is possible to sleep with a sleeping bag. There are no beds or cots.
