It is a fraction of the municipality of Lavagna and is the only town we come across on our path. It is commonly called Frazione Centaura because the name derives from the hill on which it stands. Even on summer days, the town is exposed to cool currents and since its origins it was identified as "Centaure". The view is extraordinary and sweeps across the entire Gulf of Tigullio from the Sestri Levante promontory to the Portofino mountain.
