    What is raw milk cheese? What does curdling mean, what does fracture cutting mean? How do you milk a cow? And: How do the holes actually get into the cheese? Germany is a large cheese country and Nieheim is its capital with the largest cheese market: this claim is reflected in two old farmhouses that have been rebuilt in Nieheim, in which the GERMAN CHEESE MUSEUM offers a unique world of cheese experiences.

    Taste Germany's and Westphalia's best cheeses. Especially for children: Sit on a milking stool and test your talent on a cow's udder! You want to be there while the cheese is being made: Just 300 meters further on, you can watch how Nieheim cheese is made in Menne’s cheese dairy.
