Warszawa Centralna – an underground railway station in Warsaw serving long-distance transport. It is located in the city centre, at Aleje Jerozolimskie, between al. Jana Pawła II and ul. Emilii Plater, above the cross-city tunnel connecting the station with the Warszawa Wschodnia and Warszawa Zachodnia stations.

In 2018, the station served approx. 42,600 passengers per day, which gave it 5th place in Poland

The construction of the station began in 1932. In 1938, clearance of travelers began in the completed part of the station. Until mid-1939, the station was in the final stage of finishing works. Nevertheless, in June a fire broke out at the construction site, which destroyed part of the building under construction. The nail in the coffin of the interwar Central Railway Station was the outbreak of World War II, during which, after the Warsaw Uprising, the station was blown up, while its ruins were demolished by the new Soviet occupant ... After renovation, some of the underground platforms were used for rail traffic after the construction of the new Warszawa station Downtown.
