Hiking

The mausoleum was built in 1893. The financial means came from Saxon officers who wanted to use the building to commemorate the war minister and founder of Albertstadt, Count Alfred von Fabrice, who died on March 25, 1891. There was once a bronze statue of Fabrice on the plinth above the entrance, but it was damaged in 1946 and had to be melted down. In the 1950s, the remains from the mausoleum were moved to the family crypt in the St. Pauli cemetery.
