The Hornissen Trail was released on October 26, 2021 as the first official mountain bike single trail in central Linz. The 1.2 km long MTB route with a depth of around 200 meters was laid out by hand in several hundred hours by the local mountain bike community.

The Hornissen Trail requires a certain trail experience and driving technique: The difficulty is rated "red", i.e. S1-S2 according to the single track scale. Due to the winding course of the route, it prepares trail beginners as well as advanced riders for challenges and friends while driving. While the first section leads through somewhat steeper terrain, the path becomes flatter and more flowing towards the bottom. All of the rocks integrated into the natural path can be bypassed, and edges and jumps can also be rolled over. Please note: In wet or wintry conditions, the driving demands increase significantly due to the greasy surface.
