Town about 800 m. of altitude, particularly cold in winter and pleasant in summer. Of Cimbrian origin, dominated by the splendid Duomo Di Santa Giustina, which is accessed after a grand staircase of about 80 steps, the two main squares are Piazza del Popolo, the oldest, and Piazza San Marco, from which you can admire the Tower Scaligera, the only survivor of the four built by Cansignorio della Scala in 1335 as a summer residence and to defend the town.
