La Fortaleza de Ansite, the last bastion of the aborigines of Gran Canaria.
It is the best example of a fortified settlement of the aborigines of Gran Canaria. Ansite has been declared a Cultural Asset and is made up of three rocks: La Fortaleza Grande, La Fortaleza Chica and Titana. The first inhabitants of the island used it for more than a thousand years as a habitat in caves and houses, as a burial place, as a camp, etc. In fact, the oldest data of Gran Canaria (4th century) are found here.
