The historic building was revived by the association Steinwaldia e.V. The exhibition is dedicated to the history of glass grinding in the Upper Palatinate Forest. Mirror glass was ground flat by hand 250 years ago - this hard work can be tried out here. The short grinder path with water wheels shows how the water was used back then. The Glasschleif also houses an information center for the Bavarian-Bohemian Geopark and the Steinwald Nature Park.
