Mountain biking

This hill was already settled in the Bronze Age. Then came the Phoenicians, then the Romans, and finally the Arabs. Over the centuries the small settlement became a walled fortress and the then capital of Malta. The neighboring, today much larger Ir-Rabat was actually only a suburb of Mdina at the time. The city with its many historically valuable buildings can be seen from afar and is a popular and worthwhile excursion destination.
