In 1669, a certain Simone Folin asked for permission to use the water of the Artugna stream, conveying it to a canal that fed an "orsolio", that is, a building intended for silk weaving. The stone channel, called rujal, was thus created, which allowed the water to be collected in the Cunath, before it filtered into the gravelly deposits that characterize the downstream section of the Artugna stream, and to return it downstream, where its energy was used. .

The restoration and recovery represented a positive example of collaboration between local administrations (Budoia and Polcenigo), institutions (Montagna Leader), Forestry Corps and citizens who from September 2013 to April 2014 worked along the historic stone channel.
