This is part of the "Bluebell Line" passing over the Grace Dieu viaduct to Grace Dieu Halt and Thringstone Halt, on the line between Loughborough and Coalville.

Passenger services ceased to operate on 13 April 1931, with freight services ceasing to operate on 12 December 1963. The line was known as the 'Bluebell Line' due to the flower growing along much of the length of the line during the spring.

When walking this short section of the line, very little remains of the railway, aside from the viaduct and a few small bridges, but you can also feel the remains of railway ballast underfoot.
