In the forest near Laski, there is a complex of ponds, through which the border of the Śląskie and Małopolskie provinces runs today. A few kilometers from the village, on one of the reservoirs, there used to be a hamlet called Biała inhabited by four families. There was a mill and a sawmill there. During the war, partisans often visited the forest settlement. One time someone reported this fact to a German forester. On June 15, 1944, the hamlet was surrounded, a fight ensued in which four people died - one of the partisans, two inhabitants of Biała and a resident of Błędów, who was by chance. The settlement was pacified.

Today, in the place of the burnt houses, there is a cross and a plate with a plaque with the inscription "In memory of four victims of Nazi terror executed on June 15, 1944.

On the 28th anniversary of the forest settlement being burnt down - the inhabitants of Bolesław, Hutki and Laski. " Nearby, in the thicket of bushes on the very shore of the pond, you can find a small metal cross with a sign: "Jan Płonka, died a tragic death at the hands of the Nazis on 15.VI.44, he lived 64 years "
