On the right bank of the Ourthe, the rocks of Sy are practiced by mountaineers. The main ones are located upstream of the village and are called the rock of the Cathedral and the rock of the Nandouire. These limestone rocks forming part of the Calestienne have been included on the list of classified real estate heritage of Ferrières since 1942 and appear as a site of great biological interest.

These same rocks were painted by Richard Heintz who resided for many years in the village and died on the other bank of the Ourthe in Verlaine-sur-Ourthe (Tohogne - currently Durbuy) (commemorative plaque) but his death was recorded in Sy (then commune of Vieuxville).
