Hòfi Pastor is known for its unique variety of vegetation. You will find many beautiful butterflies, iguanas, rabbits and many more beautiful animals. In the park there is a gigantic Kapok tree, which is known as the oldest tree of Curaçao.From 1200 the Caiquetios Indians chose Hofi Pastor as a holy place. They planted the oldest tree in Curaçao, a kapok tree that is now about 800 years old. The park is surrounded by hills that ensure that there is sufficient moisture for the flourishing of nature. Around the time of slavery, the park was used as a fruit orchard. Medlar, tamarind, kenepa, mango, dushi kabei, date, almond, coconut and much more grew. Between 1840 and 1860, Fathers bought the park and studied in the fruit orchard. Officially the park is called "St Jozefdal".

Wander along the 800-year-old kapok tree with its massive roots. Follow the red and then the yellow arrows to walk all the paths. This way you will pass many different trees and cacti. Look at the parakeets and hummingbirds. There are sanitary facilities at the parking lot. You can also have a picnic here.
