The "Neudorfer Moor" nature reserve is a rewetting area.The “Neudorfer Moor” nature reserve is part of what was formerly the same moor complex as the Lengener Meer and the Stapeler Moor. It represents a rewetting area of great importance. Here you can observe many different species of birds from a lookout tower on the east side.

Lengener Meer and Neudorfer Moor in East FrisiaNorth of Westerstede in East Frisia are the Stapeler Moor, the Lengener Meer and the Neudorfer Moor. First we will undertake a short hike to the lookout point at the Lengener Meer, then we will hike back and have a look at the Neudorfer Moor.These moors are not to be entered except on the official hiking trail, the Lengener Moorpfad, which I described in detail in the last blog post. But there are at least three wooden observation towers for visitors. The entire area belongs to the Southern East Frisia holiday region, as this engraving on a bench shows:
