Renchen-Ulm Orchard Educational Trail

The circular hike begins in Renchen on the Edeka car park and first leads along the fruit nature trail. The information boards give you information about rare fruit varieties such as the still known "Ulmer Polizeiapfel" or "Brettacher" and others.After approx. 2 km we reach a crossroads and turn left towards "Pulverberg" on the Önsbacher district. Then we hike up the Galgenberg to the left and rest on the "Corona bench" decorated with flowers.Then we get a thirst for adventure and we imagine where the gallows could have been a long time ago. We enjoy the wonderful view of the surrounding villages and the Rhine plain. The setting sun lets the golden leaves of the cherry trees shine again in autumnal splendor. On the Wirtschafsweg to the right of the B 3 we hike towards
South and reach our starting point in Renchen again.

Ansenbach in winter

Beautiful hiking area. Great infrastructure for hikers and mountain bikers. The Black Forest and in particular the Ortenau district are very varied. Since I don't take a photo of every bench or bush along the way, I'll include a photo collage of my photos from the region.
