A work of art made of pebbles adorns the "Winzerkreisel" (Winzerkreisel) on Darmstädter Straße. This symbolic traffic circle, with its grape sculpture in the wine press, highlights the importance of the town of Heppenheim, with its approximately 180 hectares of vineyards, for viticulture. Pebbles hand-picked from the Adige (South Tyrol's main river) were used to produce the grapes.
The winemaker's work of art is framed by eight planted vines and blooming bee meadows on the eye-catching mound of earth...🚴♂️
