In 1999, a sheepfarm approx. 220 years old from the Eickhof in Ahrsen was faithfully reconstructed as a village communal house by the specially founded sheepfarming and development association Ahrsen-Jarlingen. It was converted to a common village square at the Helkenhof in Jarlingen with the help of EU funds. The centrally located in the towns event room, which is still affectionately called "sheep stable", is for many local meetings or family celebrations point of contact and is run by the association on its own responsibility. The Schafstall-Ensemble 2005 was supplemented by the implementation of a standing before the decay staircase storage from Jarlinger Baitgershof, which thus again assumes its historical function as a storage and storage room.
