From here, a beautiful path leads to Nessmersiel: It runs in front of the Sommerdyke (the flat outer protective dike) through the salt marshes at the edge of the mudflats. Beautiful views of the eastern end of Norderney and the island of Baltrum! In summer, young cattle graze here, so you might encounter a cow (or even a young bull) along the way! So be sure to close the gates and fences along the way!
