Harkhof Giant Chairs & Viewpoint

Now the Harkhof has been a snack bar for ages. Now the term "Vesperstube" no longer does justice to today's reality: what is offered to the guest is much more: in addition to the very cozy dining room, the sun terrace has now been newly built and expanded and offers a brilliant view of the setting sun on very comfortable wooden benches .
The management team that provides the service (I don't know anyone inside) is young, friendly, relaxed and in a good mood. Even when there's a massive crowd, there's no rush or unpleasant scenes and you're even receptive to a joke now and then. That's what makes it so refreshingly nice to be here. Just everything. I don't even want to write about the food - the reader can imagine that this is also top notch - typical Black Forest food warm or cold - prepared with a lot of love. And I don't need to mention that you're full afterward.
A new overnight accommodation was also built, with a storage room for bicycles and the like. But I don't know much about it. I think the website or a phone call will provide the necessary information.

It's easy to get to the Harkhof, for example, starting from Lochbergwasen - it's 10 km from there, always slightly uphill but easy to do on foot or by bike. Or you come from the other side, from the Kreuzsattelhütte. The Harkhof is easy to find, the signage is more than sufficient. A real top recommendation.

There are beautiful rooms for overnight stays

The terrace is really well done and the staff is very customer-oriented. The dishes on offer are delicious. A lot is homemade. In addition to the routes mentioned, you can also cycle or hike in Oberwolfach Walke to Kurzenbach. It's a bit steep, that's why there are e-bikes. Then up the Kurzenbach at the small chapel and after a few km you are on the saddle above the Harkhof. Also easily accessible from the Harmersbach valley via a tarmac road. If you feel like it, you can do a round trip of approx. 50 km from Wolfach. WOL, Owol, Kurzenbach, Hark, Harmersbachtel, Kinzigtal, Wolfach. Have lots of fun with it!!! Don't forget to stop off :)
