Erratic boulder from Scandinavia, 31 tons, rock: aplitic granite with coarser inclusions, transported by Ice Age glacier ice, deposited 160,000 years ago in the Saale glacial period of the Ice Age, discovery site 1.8 km south-west of the town center in today's Haferkuhle industrial area, wind-scoured areas on several sides by post-deposition arctic sandstorms.
