With the endurance racing bike (32 mm tires, tubeless, 5.0 bar) the surface is quite usable and I really enjoy riding on the road with it. I haven't tried anything narrower/harder. There are just cars or tractors on the road occasionally, and rarely trucks. With the Pino, however, we prefer to ride on the gravel path next door right by the canal: even nicer views, no cars, but pedestrians and dogs.
