The old town of Celle consists of almost 500 historic half-timbered houses, a town hall with a Weser Renaissance façade, medieval churches and a magnificent castle with a castle park. The Dukes of Brunswick-Lüneburg resided here, which gave Celle a number of privileges.
Anyone who visits Celle comes because of the well-preserved and restored old town of Celle, a real half-timbered town, and the sights, the residential castle, the Bomann Museum, the town church of St. Marien and the old town hall.
