The Pazar Pass in Gjirokastre is the center of this ancient city. The history of Pazar dates back to the 17th century, in fact not much remains from that period. Sources say that in the 3rd quarter of the 19th century, a devastating fire ravaged the old bazaar. After that, the bazaar was completely rebuilt. Because of this, the bazaar buildings have the same architecture, some are 2-3 floors but identical in construction and all in one line.
