the cycle path through the gorge is in good condition, the slope is consistently moderate. Overall, a very good to drive way and probably the most pleasant way to get to the Alb plateau.

The Erms is a 32.7 km long tributary of the Neckar in Baden-Württemberg. It rises in the north of the central Swabian Alb, flows through the Ermstal named after it and flows into the Alb foothills. The river and its tributaries have cut a mighty valley in the front of the Albtrauf.
