The Pagnoca Path faithfully retraces the itinerary of the first ascent on the Cansiglio Plateau (March 27, 1944) of the partisans of the "Vittorio Veneto" Brigade Group to escape arrest by the fascists. It takes its name from the commander of the GioBatta Bitto group, in the partisan registry "Pagnoca". Born in 1919, originally from Montaner di Sarmede, Pagnoca was second lieutenant of the 3rd Julia Alpine Artillery Regiment. Together with Monsignor Giuseppe Faè he gave life to the legendary resistance group that gathered young people from the Vittoriese foothills and the Destra Tagliamento. Pagnoca was commander and charismatic leader throughout the partisan struggle.

The path, trail CAI 1061, begins near the parish church of San Pacrazio in Montaner di Sarmede (TV) and ends in Col Alt after almost 6 km. A path of high historical value that recalls the night march that ideally marked the beginning of the partisan epic in Cansiglio and throughout the Vittoriese.
