In my opinion, the Samaria Gorge is one of the most beautiful gorges. We were lucky that it wasn't too crowded because of Corona. Anyone who is in Crete and can walk well, actually has to walk. But only with good walking shoes. I consider everything else to be negligent.

From the northern starting point, the hike to the coast only leads downhill. It is still a very impressive gorge, but unfortunately very overcrowded due to its popularity.
