WürttembergA sinkhole (from Slavic dolina "valley"), sink cave or karst funnel is a chimney, funnel or bowl-shaped depression with a mostly round or elliptical outline in karst areas.
The term "Karst", originally the name of a limestone region in the Italian-Slovenian border area, is used as a technical term for all landscapes that are created by underground drainage (cave formation) and a special surface appearance such as sinkholes (sinkholes), ponors (water disappearance), karst basins (drain-free sinks), among other things.

From Walldürn to Altheim, a small road goes off to the right to the forest hut. There is easy parking and you can directly take the signposted "Dolinenpfad" circular route.
