Tips

  • Santa Maria di Castellabate is a village that rises on the slopes of Colle Sant'Angelo between the towns of Lago and San Marco. Located in the lower part of the town of Castellabate and overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, Santa Maria not only falls entirely within the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park but is also home to the beautiful Marine Protected Area of Santa Maria di Castellabate. The hamlet was originally known as "Castellabate Marina" or "Castellabate Inferiore" and its history is deeply linked to that of the city of Castellabate which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
