The Ebersberg was probably built on for the first time during the Staufer period at the beginning of the 12th century. The family of Ebersburg died out in the 15th century. After a fire in the castle, a palace was built in its current form by the Schöntal monastery around 1720. After the monks left in 1786, the castle and manor fell to Württemberg.
From the castle you have a wonderful view of the Backnanger Bay.
