Hiking

A four meter high lookout tower on the northern shore offers a view of the lake, its flora and fauna and a forest area spreading south of the lake on the Geest. Numerous species of birds nest at the lake. Whooper swans are often seen in winter.

Also a nice view of the Dahlemer See. At this point one of the canals flows into the lake. Shortly before there is a small canal barrier that you can cross on the small footbridge. The path behind it leads through the riparian forest in the direction of the lookout tower. Branching off this path there are a few small docks created by the fishing club. Some are walkable and offer beautiful views of the lake. Please respect the specifications of the fishing club, which certainly put in some effort.
