Showcasing sustainable building this site is entirely off grid and powered by Hebden Water hydro. Owned and managed by the National Trust there is plenty of information about the mill’s history, the dale and how it is being managed sustainably. There are also toilets and a cafe.
Open seasonally normally from 10:00 - 15:00 but only Fri, Sat and Sun in the winter.

Established in 1899 when R.E. Gibson partnered with local industrialist James Cannon, Gibson Mill was Plant No. 6 for the Cannon Mills Company. Through the early 20th century, the space hummed and pulsed with over 31,000 sewing spindles.
