On the way from the municipal office to the Kubitzberg, you will find a fountain on the left. In Karl Haupt's "Sagenbuch der Lausitz" (1862) it is noted: In Collm under the vineyards there is a fountain that people call Hanka. He has water all year round, except from the feast of St. John the Baptist to St. Michaelis. The reason is as follows. Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl, called Hanka, who bleached her canvas there for many years and earned a lot of money with it. People once accused it of not leading a chaste lifestyle, but of being lewd and unclean. Then it measured and conspired and said that if what the people said about it were true, God should let this well dry up. No sooner had it spoken these words than the well dried up, and since then it has dried up every year at this time, and in remembrance he was called Hanka.

Hanka, a girl from Schwarzkollm, bleached her canvas at the Quellbach. It was whispered in town that she was pregnant from fornication. When asked by the superiors of the village, she denied this and, under the pressure, affirmed "... if she was pregnant, her god should let the well dry up, which should also happen immediately." Since then, the spring from Johannis (June 24th) to Michaelis (September 29th) has been drying up and has been called Hankabrunnen ever since.
