As part of the original Wolf's Lair route, a long gravel path to connect you to Terranera. If cycling clockwise, this way will ascend ever so steadily, until near town where it gets a bit steeper. Surface is alright, mainly smooth gravel with a few rocky sections.

Just an update, the gravel road from Pagliere di Tione to Terranera has been widely rearranged and has got really worse - defintely not rideable anymore (at least on gravel): there are a lot of rocks mixed with sandy soil where it's really easy to sink in
(We ended up pushing for at least 2.5km)

As already pointed out, this gravel road has been recently modified and it's really hard to pedal on with a gravel bike, expect to push the bike quite a lot - I wouldn't advise to ride it unless with a MTB or >50mm tires.
