This is a hydroelectric power station between the Aargau communities of Klingnau and Koblenz. It is a run-of-river power plant on the Aare. The facility was built between 1931 and 1935, about 400 meters above where the Aare flows into the Rhine. Together with the Klingnau reservoir, the Klingnau power plant forms the last barrage of the Aare.
